AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)

The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) provides free medications for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections. The drugs provided through ADAP can help people with HIV/AIDS to live longer and treat the symptoms of HIV infection. ADAP can help people with partial insurance or who have a Medicaid spenddown requirement.

Child Health Plus (CHP)

A New York State program to help families provide health insurance for their children.

Family Health Plus (FHP)

A public health insurance program for adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who do not have health insurance — either on their own or through their employers — but have incomes too high to qualify for Medicaid.

Family Planning Benefit Program (FPBP)

A program for New Yorkers who need family planning services, but may not be able to afford them. It is intended to increase access to family planning services, and to enable individuals of childbearing age to prevent, or reduce the incidence of unintentional pregnancies.

Family Planning Extension Program (FPEP)

Aimed at preventing unplanned pregnancies. Under this program, women who have lost their Medicaid coverage will be given Medicaid financed family planning services for up to two years after the end of the postpartum period if they were on Medicaid when their pregnancy ended.

Healthy New York

A unique program designed to encourage small employers with 50 or fewer employees to offer health insurance coverage to their employees, dependents, and other qualified individuals. Healthy New York is also available to eligible working uninsured individuals including sole proprietors.

Offers low-cost or no-cost prenatal care to women and teens who live in New York State.

Poverello Center (Free medical Service)

The mission of the Poverello Center is to understand and serve the health and wellness needs of the medically undeserved, especially those who live and function in the West Hill area of Albany, New York. Provides free, high quality medical, legal and social services.
