Women’s Employment and Resource Center

Eligibility Requirements: Displaced Homemakers have lost their primary source of income due to divorce, sepa­ration, widowed, job loss or disability of a partner, or pending the loss of Public Assistance benefits.

The Women’s Employment Resource Center (WERC) advances women’s success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence. The Center has pro­vided quality workforce development service to over 4,800 women since 1988, helping them successfully find or improve their employment. Program participants receive career counsel­ing, computer skills, workforce preparation training, job placement, and ongoing support­ive follow-up.
