STAR-In accordance with the ADA, CDTA is obligated to provide paratransit service to persons with disabilities who cannot use or access the fixed-route transit system.

REDUCED FARE- Any person over the age of 65 or a person certified as being disabled may show their Medicare ID, or Reduced Fair ID Card (obtained by contacting CDTA) may show drivers their card and pay half the fare.

Early Childhood Education Center is a private, nonprofit preschool approved by the New York State Education Department, the Department of Health and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. It is supervised by an unpaid Board of Trustees composed of interested community professionals and par­ents of children currently enrolled in one of the Center’s programs. Early Childhood Education Center is open to any child, from birth to age five, with a disability. All of our programs are available at no charge to families.

Early Childhood Education Center serves children and their families throughout the Capital region. The center operates several self-contained and integrated classrooms in Albany, Guilderland and West Sand Lake. All sites have access to a large gym and/or gross motor area, an adapted playground and out­door play areas.
